Brief History of the Church:  On May 11th of 1993 Hugo Cardona presented to the Southwest Yearly Meeting a proposal to begin the work in Las Vegas, NV. after having received a number of calls from people interested in meeting together.  The first service was carried out in the home of the Salguero family where 11-25 people attended.  In 1994 and 1995 the number of members rose to 31.  It was in August of 1997 that the Yearly Meeting named José I. Contreras as the regular pastor.  He traveled from L.A. to Las Vegas each weekend until June of 1998 in company of his wife and leaving house and work he began to work full-time in the mission of Las Vegas.  From 1998-1999 the attendence was up to 150 people in each service.  In April 22 of 1999 we were forced to vacate the site where we had been meeting.  The congregation worked door to door for about 5 months until our merciful Lord opened the doors to a Korean church which received us with much love.  The church marches forward for the honor and glory of God.
